Oh, I didn't know that. It makes sense though..just one big scarf. :) Thanks! I kind of feel like an idiot for not realizing that..

Well that's great! Do you have any pictures?

Do you know of a website that can help teach me how to make a afghan? I only know how to do a single and double crochet (think that's what they are called).
Thank you, I really enjoy making them!
If you all ready know the basics of crochet, it should be pretty easy for you to expand a scarf into an afghan. There are some really good books you can buy, or even check out from the Library, that illustrate the stitches. I imagine there is probably some thing like that out on the internet as well, I've never looked though.
Either would be a great way to teach yourself more....

I have to say I especially love the delicate look of crocheted things in the fine thread. Amazing!
Thanks!
I've never had a "hobby" before, but the crochet stuff just kind of came natural to me. I bet if you kept at it, you'd find you can do some beautiful stuff!
Congratulations on the Grand baby to be!

Those doilies are outstanding! Have you thought about making ear bonnets for horses? I bet you could make some pretty cool custom ones! :)

I would LOVE to see what you do with horsehair! Look forward to seeing some pics when you get to that point.
Thanks! I have thought about trying my hand at some decorative ear bonnets or similar things for parades and what not, maybe even incorporate some beautiful beads.
Just have not had the time to play around and figure out patterns. That's the trouble, finding the time....

What kind of projects did you make when you were crocheting?

I love it too, like I said before, it is kind of therapeutic....don't you think?
It is fun making something beautiful, but useful too!
Do you have any pics of your saddle blankets? I'd love to see those....

Mostly baby blankets and afghans. I also made some baby booties, a baby gown(newborn) and the little sweater sets. Long long ago. I keep saving patterns I find online, maybe one of these days I'll make some things.

Here is one I finished awhile back for myself. I plan to wear it with a show jacket when I judge. Hitching was a good winter project. If I get doing much more of it, I'm going to have to order hair lol! I made this one from 2 of my own, pulling a few hairs here and there until I had enough.

Thank you :) It took me forever...each of the hitched parts (the ball things) took about 4 hrs a piece...and then some until I redid them enough to be happy. My eventual goal is to make myself a headstall and reins. Might get it done before I am too old to ride anymore hahaha!
