I don't quilt, but wanted to say that these are all really beautiful! I wish I had this skill.

Cynical, I like that pattern. It is a mind soothing occupation, isn't it?

Thank you. If you can sew at all, or even if you can't, it isn't hard to learn.

I hope to make a barn quilt only for the house. After much research I finally found a design that will work. If you want to see some beauties, google barn quilts.

I tried stitching my quilts, like little illustrations on them, but it didn't work out...

There are templates for marking the pretty stuff on for quilting. I have a whole boxful of different ones.

OMGOsh--I'm in the "want to" category. I've made 3 quilts, but it was really making three 6 ft. Pieces of fleece into blankets by "quilting" them to other, older blankets. One has a cotton backing only, and the other two have wool sandwiched in between.
I have the sewing room set up--I'm even sending money to my DD before she quits JoAnne Fabrics (to study for the Bar), so I can catch a sale AND take advantage of her employee discount, so I can buy a bolt of cotton batting.
I even met a big time quilter this week at a ReFi signing. She is a nurse and has been quilting for about 15 years. She has a frame, a "hanger?" (to hang your design and test it before piecing together, and two quilting machines.
I have a book and I have been studying up before I start making some test quilts.
I understand that when you buy your see through rulers you should buy all of the same brand bc they will help you to keep everything square.
    PLEASE, more pictures!!

I've been quilting for 25 years, and only just recently started using any of the see-through rulers. They can be helpful, but not completely necessary.
