Wink How to braid horse hair

How do I braid horse hair for small crafts. Like doing necklaces and braclets. Do I need to coat the hair in anything special to make it stay together? Is there anything that I should not put on the hair.

Washing usually makes it a bit more difficult to handle, but you want it clean of course, so I gently wash then do a bit of hairspray before beginning and it seems To cooperate much better. I'm no pro though, probably best to find out true tips from one that does it on a reg basis

I think there is a book called "Braiding with Horsehair" by D. Gadway and R. Schuerler It supposed to be good for beginners. Might give you some pointers.

I'd also look on YouTube and Google, I've found some fun crafts and instructions off of random sites. Wish I could remember them!
