    I love AGILITY (pictures)

My first love these days is dog agility!!! I compete in AKC, USDAA and CPE agility trials. I also teach agility on the weekends.

Here's a few of my dogs in recent competition.

    This is my baby, Remington...

This is my wonderful boy, Ruger...

Aww! I used to want to do agility with my dogs, then I gave up because I couldnt pay thousands of dollars for equipment and lessons are no option for a person with a farm to run. How much fun is it?

Absolutely awesome!!! The first time I was introduced to Ajillity was when I was leasing a TB Mare from a lady who did it with her Boarder Collies. I thought it was so neat to watch!

I've wanted to learn, but we have a Manchester Terrier - who would be amazing at it...but ..... he's a rodent dog. Trainers and Breeders have told us no matter how much training we put into him, if he see's a rodent...all that training goes out the window and he's gone.

So since ajillity is all about being off the leash - Anubis cannot.

LOL besides, I am so out of shape - I'd get past the first couple fences with my dog, and then collapse over huffing and puffing "Ok Anubis, you go on ahead without me....*breath breath breath* I'll meet you at the last fence *gasp gasp gasp*

I absolutely love your pictures! AWESOME!

    Thanks all.
It is a LOT of fun, very addictive sport. What I enjoy the most is walking the courses and figuring out how I will run my dog. Every time you run, the course is different.

    My dogs love it.

And, it's so much easier to throw the dogs in the car and haul them to a show... than towing a horse trailer, LOL!

Can't say it's any less expensive though. I can easily drop 3 to 5 hundred $$$ a weekend.

I did agility with a mouse obsessed mini schnauzer. She would do anything for a mouse. No kidding. But when it came to running a course she was a different dog. I miss her so much, I lost her at 4 yrs old. :(

I plan on doing agility with my next dog, which wont be for years. Until then I kinda hope to teach a friends dog, who is still a puppy. I need my dog training fix, and he's perfect!

I absolutely LOVE agility too.. isnt it fantastic! I had all aspirations of training and competing with my golden retriever, until I came to realise how uterly uncoordinated and goofy she is! So that kind of went out the window!! LOL. Might have to stick with obedience with her I think!

I really love those photo's too. Your dogs are gorgeous! They look so happy going through the course :)

I know MANY different terrier breeds who are awesome at agility! If you want to try it, go for it!

To the OP, great photos! :) I do NADAC agility with mine. It's a lot of fun! :) I don't know what CPE is?

I took agility classes with my Jack Russell Terrier and she absolutely loved it. She's the most intense little dog anyway, but she LOVED agility.

Oooh, I am so excited to do agility with my new pup! It looks like so much fun, and I think it will do great things for his confidence
