I've always wanted to teach my border collie agility. I asked my Dad if he could help me build some equipment but after we finished one jump I realized it would be too expensive to continue on. I love to watch her fly over that jump though.
Gorgeous pictures, looks like your dogs are loving it.
You don't NEED real agility equipment. I eventually am going to take classes, but for now I'm just getting my dog used to new and "scarey" things. Skate board ramps, kids tables (covered in blankets=tunnel) Commands like up, over, and under, ladders for a dog walk, ect. Here's one of my "jumps"
I would love to teach my dog how to agility, but I think he would be too much of a spazz to learn. He's a rat terrier, which supposidly a very smart, but he has the attention span of a goldfish, he can't even concentrate on the same toy for more than a minute.
Maybe when I get back into an actual house (and not this lame apartment) I will try to set up some stuff in the yard and see what he does.
I think Rockie would do well on the jumping part and the sit table if I could keep his attention, he might even do okay on the sea-saw and the bridge thing, but how to you train a dog to go into those tunnels?
