in my home town there is a "haunted house"...we used to drive up there in the middle of the night for kicks when we were in school. When my mom was growing up the house caught fire. When the firefighters put the fire out they went into the basement and there was a door that was locked shut from the outside…they opened it and found two children dead. The parents were no were to be found…last time I went home we went up there but I didn’t have the guts to go in…so I just took a pic from the road…

Those are some really cool pictures. I'd love to find someplace like that to explore. I wouldn't go unless I had a friend with me, though. I've seen one too many ghosts to feel comfortable in old places by myself.

Wow that's wonderful Abandoned houses are so interesting.

Reminds me of the end of the Blair Witch Project . Or pics taken in Prypiat (Not taken by mine, if you're interesting you can find them eg. Here: - The Portfolio of Antti Tiihonen).

Just looking at the pictures creeped me out! But I agree with the rest of the posters, it's weird to think of it as someone's home at one time. I wonder why they looks like they left stuff behind...*shudders* that's really creepy, but I love it

I didnt see any orbs but they are probably still in that house. That stuff wouldnt have creeped me out unless something started screaming or doing something.

There are spirits in our farm house. I used to sleep over nights and you'd hear things moving around downstairs. I'd go down and there would be nothing. There are also ghosts in my aunts house though it was built for her. I went downstairs and I heard this knocking and there arent any trees next to her house and nothing touching and I locked all the windows/doors because I was babysitting and it just freaked me out.

There are 3 different types of "Hauntings"

1) Grounded. They don't know they are dead. The light didn't come for them, so they continue on living as though they are still alive. Stuck.

2) Visitation. They know they passed. The light came for them and they crossed over. They can come and go as they please - majority are relatives who come to say hi. Most commonly show up at weddings, funerals, births, graduations.

3) Residual Energy. Where something detramental happened in a place - whether it be a room, sidewalk - what have you - the energy of that occurance is stuck, replaying over and over and over and over. The person can still be alive, or passed - but their enegy still resides there.

Most hauntings - are Grounded. Stuck. The light didn't come for them. They have no clue that they passed. They exist in a different realm, and sometimes our realms cross - that is when we feel them, hear them and sometimes see them.

Majority are nothing to be worried about. Majority need your help to let the light come for them, help them cross over. They have to be notified that they are dead and that they need to to go to the light.

Hauntings don't scare me. Most of it is compassion and sorrow for the stuck soul.

Now, the dark side or dark souls -that is something to be scared of.

That's a really sad story. I can see how they would seal that house permanently. I love haunted houses and stories but I find that entering buildings like that whether or not someone died, but more so if someone did, that you're screwing around with their space.

I'm surprised tho, not to question the truth about that house, that they would have kept that house up after the death of 2 children. Most buildings that go thru something like that, are usually taken down.

Thanks for sharing those photos everyone.

Green Broke
Awesome. Picture 12 REALLY freaked me out! There is an old school not far from where I live that is abandon and all crumbly and old, and there were some kids who did a documentary about it, and they broke in, and took video and pictures, and in the school auditorium, there was an extremely old doll with half a face sitting in one of the chairs, and that picture (number 12) reminded me of it.

Ughhhhh so creepy! =)
