It was very cool! When all the pieces of the puzzle started to be put together, the story the Equine Communicator gave me, made a lot of sense. It was an exceptional experience to of been able to be a part of.

Nelson has an issue of loading. Don't get me wrong, he is a very good boy and will load smoothly, but everytime we get him up to a trailer, we have to spend the time to ensure him that he's coming back.

The reason being, is because he has been bought and sold so many times, and he's been taken away from his horse friends and his "home" - the trailer is associated with that. The Communicator told me that whenever he has to go into a trailer, he thinks that he is never going to see his friends again, or his "home" again.

    It's actually quite sad.

CJ - I wish you lived closer! I'd have to do sessions on Nelson! He has arthritus in his hock and due to the arthritus, he has lower back pain. I have him chiro'd on a regular basis, and he has his own equine massage therapist, but I'd love to see what Rikki could do for him.

are any of the massage therapists also certified in reiki? Or find even a people reiki place and see if they will do large animal! If you try it, i'd love to hear about it!

CJ, where is Colesville? I'm in PA, not far from the Delaware River crossings, just south of Allentown, about 45 mins north of Philly. If you're anywhere close, I would LOVE to have you out to do Zee!

MIE, that story gave me the chills. Poor Nelson! Thankfully he found you and learned to trust again...

you're about 2 to 2.5h away from me but i'm game for a day trip perhaps? How far are you from northampton, pa? We will be there for xc schooling in early june. I want to get more practice in first too so that if I come to you it's worth the time. I'm not charging anything (i am just a reiki 1 - and im sure there are reiki masters local to you), but i'd need help with gas costs. I was thinking after a month or two of practice of doing a donation of your choice to the rescue I have so it goes back to helping other horses. I could come down one sat or sun am and spend the afternoon and go through everything from saddle fit and a full reiki - i'd love to do that! And I love meeting new horse people :)

Hmm ok so you have me interested. Maybe in early-mid april? Oh depending on my show sched and I have a wedding to go to then, may could work bc im heading form jersey to ohio to visit a freind and could stop by on the way. Ahh ideas!

Oops, I responded to your email before I came back here!! We're prob out of your way to Ohio, but we're not far at all from Northampton! PM me when it gets closer to June and you can come visit Zee! I just recently started learning what Reiki acutally is. I'll try anything that might make Zee happier and more content than he already is in life...

The first class was $125 or $150 and usually runs somewhere around there. As you do more/learn more and progress to level 2 then 3 the classes are longer and more expensive. The first one was bout 10h long.

I'm reiki level 3 certified.I got my certification by a distance attunement. I haven't really tried it on horses yet. My dog seems to kind of like it. I use it on myself all the time. I saw online they said you're supposed to wait a day after the Reiki treatment to horses but I guess that's not true.

So far i'm two for two with good rides (despite him being super anxious even bucking once in his stall when he startled himself today) on lucky - with little to no evidence of back pain!!! I'd definitely say it's helping :)
