My attempt at photography

I just recently got interested in photography. Tell me what you think. It would really help if you could tell me how to improve or any tips.

What type of camera are you using? The second Rottie photo is a bit washed out, but I don't want to start going on about aperture or F-stops unless you can control them. ;)

I really like the first picture. But the other four aren't really in focus.

Really bright sunny days aren't the best time to take pics. It makes the photo's too bright and washed out....I would take them on a cloudier day, and Focus them a bit more.
