It's definitely a must have, especially considering how little it costs. I haven't taken it off my camera ever since I got it.

I've recently bought a Nikon D7000 and just gone with fixed prime lenses for low light capability. (F1.8s) So I got a 35mm and an 85mm (which of course on a APSC sensor such as the Canon 500D and my D7000 is equivalent to a 52 mm and 127mm field of view) |
For PP I sometimes use Actions and then edit the layers, etc. to my liking and I also use Alien Skin Exposure 3. All obviously in Photoshop.
