OK here goes, I just added this one to my signature a few mins ago.

Show me your horse, and I will tell you who you are.

A Western Horse Has Pleasure
But My horse Has It ALL

If your horse dosen't respect you - you have a problem with your horse
If your horse fears you - then your horse has a problem with you

The same goes for trust

Most of these i've stumbled across ages ago so I don't know who wrote them.

"its hard to soar with eagles when you live with turkeys"

"Cheers to lying, cheating, stealing, and drinking. If you're going to lie, lie for a friend. If you're going to cheat, cheat death. If you're going to steal, steal a heart. And if you're going to drink, drink with me."

“Amid the dazzling distractions of the modern world, life should still give us reason to pause and ponder.”

“The quality of an individual is reflected in the standards they set for themselves.”

“What may seem mundane today was once a breakthrough”

I posted this in another thread a while back and some people seemed to like it. I don't know who said it originally but my Grandad used it all the time.

"There are 3 types of people in the world; those that learn by reading, those that learn by observation, and the rest of us just have to piss on that electric fence ourselves."

"There is no better proof of character than watching how a rider rides their horse."
And another on the same line.....
"How a horse behaves is a reflection of how they are trained."

"You can tell a gelding, ask a mare, but you must discuss it with a stallion."

"The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse's ears." Arabian Proverb

Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion.
