    Wow, wow, wow!
I have to agree, you really have great talent there.
    I'd buy cakes from you!

(and tinyliny, I love your cookies too! Do you use a paint brush to do that?)

Wish I had half the talent and imagination you two have!

For the cookies, just regular sugar cookies, make a kind of sugar glaze (watery frosting) and paint design on freehand using tiny brush and food coloring very slightly watered down. Lot of bang for little buck.

Cake lady, may I be so rude as to inquire what such a cake like that topsy turvy one would cost? And how long does it take you to make such?

It took me about 6 hours. It fed about 90 people, and I charged her $175 for it, which is really cheap for the industry standard for that sort of cake. $3.50 a serving is what I'd usually charge for it.

I wish you were closer to me cakemom. We could trade secrets. I've never really used fondant, I do all my stuff with buttercream and royal icing. Here's a link to my FB album of cakes. Let me know if the link won't work, I'll just post the pics. I've done a few more since then, I really need to add them to the album. My mom used to do cakes as a part time job, and she taught me and my brother. We work together on a lot of our stuff. Lots of fun!

I always love watching the cake making shows on Food Network. Wish I had that much patience, and creativity. I would hate to eat them though, mess up all the hard awesome work. They look so tasty, as do the cookies, makes me want some. Tiny and cakemom, I think you both have awesome talent, keep on making awesome cakes and cookies.
