Space Monkey Cake!

So, my step-mom's birthday is on the 6th and I've decided to make her a Ham the Space Monkey cake because she's absolutely obsessed with Ham. Haha

He's still under construction but this is what I got done today! He's made out of rice crispy treats and he's covered in fondant. He will be sitting on top of 2 layer yellow cake with strawberry/peach/bavarian cream filled cake with whipped topping.

This is my first time working with fondant! Haha

That looks absolutely awesome - others are right, you're skilled with cakes.

Here is the progress from today. Added texture to his arms and legs, attached his ears, created his life support backpack and made bananas. :)

Not going to have time to work on him tomorrow. Weds we're going to assemble him and put together the actual cake.
