I like to sew and embroider. I have three projects going at the moment. I'm making an English saddle pad for my best friend (hand embroidered the name patch I'm going to put on it last night), I'm making another pad for my Aussie saddle (can't have too many saddle pads, right?!), and I'm making my Halloween costume (going to be a good witch from Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters).
Up until this morning, when I decided that enough was enough of cutting out fabric on the floor and not having a place to set up my sewing machine, I didn't have a place to do stuff. So, this morning I commandeered the smallest bedroom in the house for use as my craft room (we live in my boyfriend's mother's house and other than the bedroom we sleep in, the bathroom, the living room/kitchen/dining room, and the laundry room, it is packed with her stuff...she doesn't live there). I have a sewing desk for my sewing machine and my boyfriend is going to pull a long table out of the garage for me to put my cutting mat on (an take out the twin bed that was in there). However, I want a more organized method for storing my fabric and supplies. Right now it's all just dumped on the floor, as I was kind of in a hurry this morning.
So, any inexpensive, but effective organizing solutions?
