You could always, write a non-fiction story. I'm not good with those... You could go to a writing forum, since you like it. I did, I gots lot of help there.

I like to write too. Mostly poetry, not always related to horses though. I love fantasy/sci-fi writing and some of my poems have that sort of theme. I've been writing poetry since I was about 11years old.

However, I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year, with a semi-non-fiction novel based on the stories my husband has been sharing with me while he's over in Iraq working. I'm excited :) Everyone who's interested in writing should try NaNoWriMo, it's a lot of fun. It's an annual "competition" to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. There's no prize per se, but it is good writing practice.

However, I'm also taking four college courses so I don't know how much writing I will get done.

No it's seperate from this forum. If you're interested check it out:- NaNoWriMo (aka National Novel Writing Month).

Oh, I see now. Because I go to another forum, Writingforum.org. And they have that same thing, I would do it a month where I have time. :)
My longest story is a bit over 16000 words, pretty good, it's a novellette. But it's a fan fiction, but very good. :)

I know someone who tried that. I don't know what ever came of it. If she even finished, or whatever... sounds like a great idea! If you already have an outline in mind.

It's fun. I've tried it once but only got to 18,000 words :) This year I hope to try again, but on top of my school work I don't think I'll be successful. Still it'll be good practice.

It always help to have an outline and notes written ahead of time though :) Mine is still mostly in my head.

One of my goals is to write a book someday. I have so many ideas in my head, I just need to put them all on paper. I really need to take a class to figure out the right way to do it. I usually start at the beginning and then try to go straight through. On occassion I'll have an idea for later on in the book and jot that down as well but I never complete it. Someday though.... I have a couple ideas, some romances, a teen book about a girl who meets her dad accidently......

Cool, people. I had a dream 2 years ago, for a month. And the plot came and I wish to make it a book one day.

I love writing - although lately I have been a bit "used up" with writing. I'm sure that after exams I will start again.

The story I am currently working on is a fantasy, and I must admit I put too much thought into my "fantastical worlds".

Its currently got about 52,000 words, so its well underway, but too much of it is fluff, I'll probably try and write 200,000 and then cut it back to 100,000-150,000. The editing is always the dreadful part :(

You know what I think would be cool? If like we had a group of people who read over each others chapters and gave opinions or something, so we could get better but not have to show people we know :)
