Here are the 3 week feet...I did not mean to abandon my OWN thread!!

Everything besides his feet looks SO much better. When he first came home, he was barely eating, and his eyes were sunken in, his hair was covered in that oily, sticky yeast from skin fungus.

Monday of last week, the vet came out to do his teeth. He was cocking his rear ankle funny, but he was not "limping", once he was walking, he was fine. Friday, (naturally at the very time the vet closes) he was hardly weighting it at all, and Saturday, he blew this lovely....

This is why I tend to hold my breath when I'm hearing a story about someone's lifelong horse getting passed on! Thank goodness you were in a position to bring him home!

I got a decent picture of the entire beast "outstanding in his field" as my DH says. If the weather cooperates tomorrow, I will clean his feet up and get some updated pictures.

The horse has an amazing amount of energy now. Four months ago he would not walk up the hill for dinner; now he RUNS, and sometimes makes a circle for fun!

I needed put this on HIS thread....

The little girl across the street thought that he would "self-load" himself into the pasture from the barn, and he spent about 20 minutes Trotting around the barn, so Saturday I saddled up and rode him. He is now more like a western pleasure horse than dressage horse, but I am less than a dressage rider, now, too!!

The music is totally serendipitous...it was on the radio when DH started videoing on his phone!...
