Cool thread. I will have to check easy boot's site out.... when I bought boa boots for my horse many years ago, easy boots did not have different options and had the reputation for being very hard to put on. My boa boots are very easy to put on and do not cause problems for my qh, who gets sore foot if ridden on hard gravel packed roads. I had my farrier tell me which size to buy and then verify fit, so I have not had any problems there. I do notice that when it gets close to his next scheduled trim, his toes get a touch long to wear them. They are wonderful for hard-packed dry terrain, but can be a pita to ride through muddy/boggy streambeds. The boots act like suction cups on my horse's feet.

My first concern here is as Loosie posted, if the hooves regularly crack it is likely that there is something else going on -- maybe as simple as trims aren't happening as often as they need to. Regular trims are mandatory if you want to use boots or you'll have extreme difficulty finding a boot that fits.

I tried the gloves and finally, today, gave up. Here's the thread I started that might interest you: Easyboot Gloves fell off :(
