Frog Problem

Okay so I have a horse that has a layer (brownish) of the frog ripped off.
Is he good to ride? Will he be okay?

Can't tell you without any info. Guess it could be purely exfoliating frog, but could be abscess, thrush, injury, etc. is he lame? Is he shod? Pics? Have you asked your farrier & when was he last trimmed?
