Hoof Bruising

Hello, im just wondering what could be causing my mares hooves to have a bruised look. I see areas where there are pinkish spots, she has 3 white hoove and I see this in all of them. She doesnt seem to in any pain nor does she limp or favor any. The place where I keep her isnt full of stones where she would pick one up. Is this something common to see in white hooves? I've heard other talk about problems with white hoofs. And just to remind everyone. Im new to horse ownership and Im learning still. Thanks in advance

Are you asking about something similar to the pink spot in this picture?

What my farrier tells me is that it's from an unbalanced trim, causing bruising in the cornet band where the horse's hoof is growing and alive.
Changing farriers to someone more knowledgable can help. I had a farrier who would leave my horse with quarter cracks, jammed quarters and these bruises and I switched to my current farrier, it took about 1 year, but all the bruises are grown out.

Good luck!

Are the bruises only on the outside or on the bottom too?

You'll have to post a pic if you want specific advice. You would also do best to learn more & not ditch your farrier based just on anabel's post(no offense anabel!) There are a variety of things it could be - due to long toes, jamming or other imbalance, could be pure & simply a bash that has caused a bruise here & there. If the 'bruises' are in rings it could also be a sign of laminitis, be that from metabolic or mechanical cause.

Oh and white feet are no weaker than dark(which are only pigmented on the outer layer anyway), but I think the story came about because as you have noticed, you see things in them that you can't see in dark hooves.
