Hooflex Reviews?

Has anybody used Absorbine Hooflex? Positive/ negative feedback?

I am not a fan of painting anything on a horse's hoof to improve it, I think that comes from proper care and feeding. Hooflex does soften up dry soles to the point that a stick can puncture the hoof wall, seen it happen. I use hooflex as hoof oil/polish if I am showing in a mucky arena, it keeps the mud off better than hoof black. The occasional time I use it, it's neither helped, nor harmed anything, but using it once every couple of months is not really "using" it, lol.

What's on the outside isn't as important as what's on the inside... I've used it, but not as the main way to keep the hooves healthy. I keep mine on a hoof supplement, and though it costs a little extra per month, my savings pretty much equal what I would pay for conditioners, with much much better results. And less messy! I work closely with my farrier, and as long as I'm not treating thrush, I don't use any topical stuff :) hope this helps, but it's only one opinion! There are many 'right' ways to do things, and this is what works for me :)
