Level Heels advice

I just came back from trimming my horse's front hooves. Her knees turn to the outside, so I have to follow her canon bone down, but then her hoof is anatomically not in line . So I am leveling the hoof to the hoof landmarks. I measure and measure the heels to the hairline, and even tho they are the same length, they don't look like it.

I need pictures, LOL

Yes, without pics can't guess. Be good if you could include a straight-on pic of your horse, then a straight-on of the knee down, if that's where they turn out from. If you're following the sole plane & a/p balance as some of the landmarks you probably can't be going too wrong anyway.
