Cool that you are doing them yourself. I think there will be a lot of benefits in your relationship with your mini, in her future relationships with others, and you are bound to learn a lot. Maybe in a few years the farrier thing will work out. It is interesting that donkeys and mules tend to be so different in their characters than horses. I rode a mule for the first time when in Las Vegas, and the caretakers had to protect the miles from the horses, as they would back down, give up food, and generally take a pounding from the horses.
