    Poor Cody Cracked a hoof

He cracked the hoof wall all the way to the white line and now he is sore.
I have a call into the farrier but it is a pain waiting for a call back. My poor boy is tender and acting Lame on it.. I just want to to take his pain away..

I didn't get a before picture. And the was after a couple hours. So he got it dirty
He is stall bound for at least 5 days. My poor baby. He is missing grace too I know it will do them good to be apart but the have only been at the new barn 3 days.

Did the vet wrap it or was this your idea? Mine vet told me to keep the horse on pasture and keep it moving, not confine it to a stall. .

The Abscess is draining the vet cleaned it put a Epsom salt gel / med on a bandage . Then a wrap layer , duct tape sheet then another wrap layer . Every vet is different

    Thinking good thoughts for you!

I just read last month's Equus, and they have an article on treating abscesses that advises wrapping the hoof.
