Safe Thrush Medicine

Hi everybody,
My horse has thrush in her two front hooves and I started treating them with Blue Kote yesterday. I have read that it may kill live (tissue?). So I was wondering if there was a safer alternative that will work, or will Blue Kote be safe? Thank you!

I use ThrushXXX, or if I'm being cheap, a combination of water, gold Listerine and bleach.

Anything that will dry out and kill the fungus works.

Why are you using Blu-Kote anyway? That's a wound dressing, not a thrush remedy.

Agree with SR. Also, be sure to address the environmental aspects that can ****** efforts to clear it up/cause re-occurence

I like Apple Cider Vinegar. If you combine it 50/50 with warm salt water (1-2 TBSP salt per cup of H2O), it works well. I would buy a spray bottle that can spray from any angle, though, because it makes life easier. But if it's a bad case, I like Sav-A-Hoof or No Thrush.

A good trim will help, too, and keeping dry and clean.
