Thanks for all the info Loosie! I wish I would have taken photos right after they were trimmed so I could have had you guys critique the trim job. I will definitely look for a new farrier and have his feet done properly once I get back from the Dominican Republic. I leave very soon and I don't think I'll be able to find a new farrier (well, a good one) and have him come out within one days notice...I'll just let him take it easy and not work him at all until his feet are trimmed. Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it!

Thank you!! That sounds like what happened. It happend so suddenly I don't think his hoof wall could have grown that much over night...lol
