Horse Predator Alert!!!

Owners and boarders of horses in the Phoenix area - Predator Alert!!! There are men sexually assaulting mares and their foals - they use electrical wire, and bale cords to strangle horses and foals until they pass out, and then bind there hooves so they can sexually assault them.

Here is a letter from one of the horse owner victims - her horse was assaulted!

"We are a North Phoenix family that has been victimized for the past year by men on our property late at night or early mornings.
They all have been in the same stall area with the same horse and have got away each time. We have made 4 police reports for attempt to steal and one report attempt to kill. All reports describe electrical wires on the horse or with the intruder. Our last report was on October 3rd 2009 at 1am. When I went to check on our horses the one that they come after was not in sight, I panicked even though all gates and stalls were locked. As I approached my mares stall, my dogs barked fiercely at someone in the stall. I was horrified when a Hispanic male ran from the stall and jumped the fence. I was more horrified when my poor mare came out of the stall with an old white lamp cord tied and knotted so tight around her neck that her veins were bulging from both sides. My police report was: Attempt to kill a horse by strangling. I was wrong! There are men out there that are sexually assaulting mares and their foals."



Papago Stables, sexual assault on horses in Arizona. These men use electrical wire or bale cord to strangle the horse until it passes out and falls to the ground. They bind the feet of the foals and use the cords around their necks as well. If you do not find the horse in time to get the cord off their neck, the horse can experience brain damage or death. After my friend posted our story on the web I received calls from victims of this horrible crime here in Arizona and heard about the horrible outcomes. Some countries find this acceptable behavior; college students and gang members use it for initiations. I am concerned and don't want this to happen to another horse, or human!"

Tempe police say six horses, including a 4-month-old colt, were sexually molested inside a Tempe stable over a period of two months.

Tempe police say they have no suspects but it appears more than one person was involved in the acts of bestiality that took place on five occasions inside the Papago Stables in the 400 block of North Scottsdale Road.

One person apparently held the horse's head down while another person molested it, Tempe Police Sgt. Randy Fougner said. "One of the horses had scratches on his head," Fougner said.

The first incident took place Aug. 7 and the latest incident was reported to police this morning, he said.

During the course of the investigation, police found a sex toy, lubricant and what police believe to be human semen at the scene.

Fougner said the charges for the act are misdemeanors, including lewd and lascivious behavior, cruelty to animals and trespassing, and are punishable by no more than a year in jail.


Ok this is just disgusting. I got this in an e-mail from the lady who owns the rescue ranch I volunteer at.

I can't believe people are doing this, it's just down right gross and sickening to think about.

People kill me sometimes. :(

There isnt a word strong enough for how disgusting and wrong these crimes are.
They need to find the people involved and lock them up and throw away the key..
Did they mention how the horses were after the ordeal??
I hope they were ok.
Again it just makes you sick that people even think about doing a crime like this. It must be horrific for the horses and their owners and they dont even seem to care.
I hope they catch who ever it is asap so they cant harm another animal!

How can that be just a year in prison. If they are doing it to horses whats going to stop them from going after a child?

I read a similar story a few months ago - it was an article published in an east coast newspaper. Seems a woman caught a strange man "with" her horse. He was arrested and sent to prison for a few months. He must have been released, because she caught him "with" her horse AGAIN! He claimed to be in love with the mare. I think he's been institutionalized... So sick!
