Any professional equine photographers on here

I am an aspiring equine photographer. I would like to get into the business as a side gig for now and eventually start up my own business/studio. (Yes I already know the risks and hard work involved).

But I am wondering if any of you have your own business and if you mind me asking how you got started? I know what I have to do, I just don't know how to get there.

THANKS!

I have been a professional photographer for about 4 years now, and have been taking photos as a side deal for about 8 before that.

My best piece of advice for you is that you need to know how to take criticism very well because there is a lot of it in the business. And a lot of it isn't very nice either.

It is a VERY tough market to break into and my best suggestion is to gt someone beside family or friends to critique your work for you and also if you can find a photographer in your area who you can intern with.

If you would like other tips or help feel free to pm me.
