The Art Central Journal

HI!!
I'm Anastasia...
I am 14 years old.
I am an artist, or rather I consider myself one.
This is just a little art journal to display my talent as an artist, and to gather critique so I can refine my skills.
I have been drawing ever since I could pick up a crayon.
I am especially talented at painting and drawing horses, birds, and general animal portraits.
Don't let that get you over-excited, though.
Here are a couple of samples of some recent artwork I did.
Next post will include several works of art I completed today.

Other stuff

Here is more of it....

#3 and below that are all mini paintings...
All paintings in this post itself are watercolours
The minis are 2x2 1/2 inches each
Takes me about 20 minutes of careful contemplating for each to be started and finished

Aaaaand this is the rest of the stuff I did today.
These are minis and the last one is an oil pastel and Turpenoid painting that is NOT complete.
Also I'm thinking of selling them and shipping them out to whoever buys them.
I'd say $3-$4 is reasonable for each mini.
What say you?

Very nice, for 14 years old these are very good! I particularly like you're watercolours, as they are very loose and a little abstract. Keep at it

THANK YOU!
Heheheheh. I love that picture the most, BUT I was at my Freshman retreat with one of my friends at a lake, and she opened my sketch book and all of my mini watercolours went PLOP into the lake and were ruined :(
I can always make more though

And thanks for your complements, everyone else! I really appreciate it ^___^

You've got some real talent there, so keep it up! I really like your sketches and outlines. You really seem to have a good grasp on the structure of the horse so far, which is just as important, if not more so than anything else. Shading and colors can come later but even those wont help much if the horse is structurally flawed in my personal opinion.

You're better than I was at that age, I think!

When you lose a friend, even if that friend is an Animal, you lose a part of yourself for a while... And when you lose a friend like I had in Garnet, you die inside for a while. She was the best friend I have ever had.
