Art supplies - addicts support group

I can't be the only person around here who goes gaga over the multitudes of art supplies and the endless possibilities of mediums and surfaces to try.

I'm a devoted pastelist, I just adore pastels. I am running quite low on my soft-mediums pastel sticks, and would like to invest in some Unisons. I've only got a handful of them, but ADORE them!
Now I have gotten to the point of trying to justify spending AU$450.00 on a set of 72 Unisons. Oh... and I need some new velour... but I fall in love with the colours and don't know which to pick, so end up with 5 sheets of each

AND, *keep this quiet from my pastels, they don't know yet* I think I have become TRI curious.... pastels, scratch board AND oil pains (a wonderful lady on this forum recently mentioned her use of oil paint STICKS to me... stupidly I had to look them up, and now I want to try them! Which means, new surfaces, new tools, new set up.... I'm going to need to build a new room on this house just to house my art supplies

Anyone else care to fess up on their art supplies addiction?

Ok I'm just a graphic design student who loves type and geeks out over typefaces, software and lately micron pens! They're amazing I have many thicknesses and use them for everything.

I totally walk through the art store just to browse...lol

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE going to art supply stored! For my bday, I got a very very generous gift card for an art supplies shop, and I'm so excited to go by material! There is so much I am running out of, as well as new things I want to try too! I usually don't buy too much, just what I need, but now I'm going to have fun and explore! .. and become an addict probably at the same time. :P

My mom thought it was silly of me to ask for an art store, since I could have used the money on clothes, but heck, I'm tired of always having gifts that are necessities.
For once, I want to splurge on something I want but don't necessarily need, and feel spoiled! Going to be busy this xmas break exploring new mediums!

Phew, I'm not the only crazy lady!
My OH is so unimpressed that he's landed himself with a lady addicted to horses and art - two super expensive hobbies - whoops! At least I make a bit of money out of my art, so it's not aaaaaaaalllllll bad ;)

This place is my home away from home - line :P
Home Page

Buying online is SO dangerous, I keep clicking 'add the basket' then go to checkout and realize I've spent over $500... oops! This place has so many different things to try, unfortunately I don't have any worthwhile art shops locally, so online is the way to go.

And who DOESNT feel happy looking at colour charts:
UNISON COLOUR Pastels

*wipes up drool*

So not only are we crazy horse people, who can stare at a selection of leather goods, spurs and whips for hours on end... we also go batty over colours, mediums, surfaces, brushes, knives, pens.... oooooooh it's endless!!!!
When I win the lotto, I'm going to buy a huge farm, and a zoo, and a photographer. Then I'll buy up an entire art store.
I will be able to paint every animal I feel the need to, in whatever medium happens to take my fancy - and I won't need to stop due to lack of space!

Haha ok, don't buy the knives......I hear a credit card cut in half will also work favorably as a substitute for a good high end knife!!!! Haha!
