Drawing for my Sister

I just finished this drawing for my sister as it is her birthday. It is of her "sleeping" on her mare while waiting for her turn at Pony Club She loved it whhen I gave it to her but I was wondering what you guys think haha.
Note: this is my second attempt at drawing people :/

YOur sister will treasure that forever and ever. Drawing peole is distinctly harder, but if you look at is as just an excersize in really, really looking at your subject matter, bit by bit and comparing the porportion and orientation of each part to the other, you can make it happen, and look as good as the horse.

I feel overwhelmed at drawing people, too, in part because it's more important that it really LOOK like the person, especailly when they see themselves. In truth, that's almost impossible to do becasue the way people see themselves and they way other's (or even a camera) see them are quiet far apart at times. So, though I try to be accurate, I may draw in more wrinkles than the person thinks they atually have. But, it really is just a matter of looking as dispassionately as possible and breaking it down into size and porportion and value and line and putting it down on paper, as if you were drawing a still life.
