Fooling around.

Ahhh, I should have been working. Haha! It's no fun editing photos for a newspaper, though.

Done in Photoshop, took about a half hour. Critiques and comments are welcome!

The photo was taken by me, the background was edited separately from the horse. I am debating whether or not to take the fence posts out of the background.

Of course! I debated whether or not to put up the original photo, because I personally like looking at the differences. Good to hear somebody else does, too! Should the fence posts in the background be removed?

If your interested in how I did it, I duplicated layers, blurred, smudged, changed levels, contrast and color as well as curves. Then I changed the saturation a bit. The background had to be edited separately because I wanted it darker and the horse lighter. I also added a few more tail hairs and made his mane seem a bit longer.

Thank you and my main reason was to see how good your horse looked before it was touched up, and he looks great.
