Graduation Present for a Friend :)

Working on a grad present for my best friend! It's of her on her 6yo TB gelding, Sailor. This is just a work in progress, but it's nearly finished. Any and all comments are welcome! Critiques encouraged :)

Did you do this all from scratch or??

It's amazing! I think the only thing I'd change is the color of the bonnet and how the inside ear looks. When it's in an ear bonnet, there should be fabric fully covering the ear and it's kind of looking shredded?

The ankle of the rider looks just a little too narrow in comparison to her thigh. It could just be the angle though.

I'd add a little highlight on the tail since right now it's blending too much with the outside hind's shadow.

Where is the noseband?

~~~
Obviously those are little changes, because like I said..it's gorgeous! What a thoughtful gift :)
Noseband, tail shine and other things have yet to be added. She has ridiculously tiny ankles! Haha The darkness on the bonnet is meant to be shadow, but I can make it less extreme if it's looking shredded. And I have done this from scratch, yes :)
Awesome work!
Sounds good... and I made a slight error. I meant in comparison to her calf, not thigh.
I'm sure she'll love it!
No! Just a painstaking painting lol Its HUGE and I'm forcing myself to put in every detail. I'm using a few different references, too.
Here's a zoomed in version of the face. I've started adding the fur.
