Graphite barrel racer

I've been playing around with some new stuff in this picture; its the first time ive done a rider on the horse, and put a background in.

Its taken a while and im not completely happy with the front legs so I may end up re-doing them. But all in all im satisfied that its not a complete embarrasment

Any advice would be appreciated

I think it looks great! I will say though, this is one of those times you should probably use your artistic license and add the back hooves somehow. I know they are dug into the dirt but I get this creepy feeling because they look amputated.....*shivers* haha I'd also add a bit of definition to the barrel, as it's a big part of the piece too in a way.

Other then that, it's honestly great. I like that the background is lighter then your focal point and you've done a good job defining the details of muscles and fabric (riders shirt) through shading.
