Talking Horsey Tattoos

I would really like to see everyone's tattoos that are horse related! :) And the stories that go along with them, as well.

I don't have any horse tattoos but I am planning one. All my tattoos are animal and music related so it has to follow that theme. I'm curious to see what everyone else has.

Yearling
I got this about a year ago. (The picture is right after I got it done) I wanted something that was carefree and a horse at play, while also being artistic (hence the tribal design). My relationship with my horse was a hard one and for a long time I lost the fun in riding. It took me a long time to gain it back. Kind of resembles what I need to remember, that I choose to work with horses because it is fun. Also with the strength and personal willpower of the horse itself. More a a vibe than a story behind it.

This is my one and only tattoo. I planned it for 4 years before I actually got it done.

The horseshoe obviously represents my love of horses. The rose represents me and my mom because it is our favorite flower, it is also my middle name. The purple color represents my favorite color. And then the name is of course the name of my horse

Oooo I just love seeing all this Equine Ink!! Here is mine, I wanted something that captures the elegance of horses but while also being artistic, this is based off a sumi-e ink painting. The blue spots are supposed to be ink splatters

This was the 2nd tattoo I ever got It's on my ribs. The reason it's an appy (it was supposed to be a silhouette) is because my tattoo artist got halfway through coloring it and I started crying because it hurt so bad, hahaha. So we just added some spots and called it a day

I think it looks better that way though :) Sometimes plain silhoettes can be very flat and boring, this is much more dynamic and awesome :)

Aww, thank you! =] I'm glad I wussed out and got an appy instead, I do love it. I have 3 other tattoos, bigger than this one, and none of them hurt as bad at that one on my ribs! I actually have one on the same spot on my thigh as yours is, and that was my least painful one. Yours looks very cool, btw; definitely elegant
