Images of old Chinese horse coins

Howdy everyone,

While I don't have any artistic talent myself, I do enjoy looking at artwork.

One of my hobbies is collecting old coins with images of horses. These "horse coins" are believed to have been game pieces in ancient China, although historical references are vague as to how the game was actually played.

I'm glad you found my ancient Chinese horse coins interesting. All of them are several hundred years old.

Horses played a major role in Chinese history and myth. The last dynasty (Ch'ing Dynasty 1644 - 1911 AD) was ruled by the Manchus whose culture was based around horses. You may have seen movies or pictures of the men with their long "pony-tails" which, of course, were a testament to their love of horses!

I was looking at them all agian, and I could not help but to notice, but they are SOOO detaild.
