We're going to have 2 very bare walls in our living room very soon and I'd like to replace the soon-to-be-empty artwork spots with equally sized artwork. I'd like one to be some sort of landscape framed or canvas and the other to be some sort of horse artwork. These are both at least 4'x3' rectangles, but we don't have a lot of $$$ to spend. Any suggestions on where to find something that would fit the criteria or someone I could pay to do it?
I love Marcia Baldwin. She does paintings that are kind of abstract and colorful of landscapes, horses, and many other animals. I got a large print for my room and it wasn't very expensive.
I don't work that large, however, so I might not be of any help to you. One thing that I like, if I need to cover a large area, is to hang a rug. I mean, some kind of nice Navajo rug or other rustic textile piece with color and texture. partner that with a couple of portraits of your hroses, (something I CAN do) and would look cool. But, I work in black and white, and not much larger than 11 by 16 inches.
