My Latest Work in Progress

I decided it was time to try again. Now keep in mind all I have to work with are a mechanical pencil and my fingures to smudge it. Let me know what you think so far.

Army, I think you are drawing the horse in your avatar photo? It's a good start. You may want to look at the proportions. For example, look at how many of the horse's ears you could fit end to end in the total length of the head. This will help you to get the ratio of ears to face length more accurate.
Also, the eyes don't quite look right. Horses eyes , being on the side of the head, are more foreshortened when you look at them from the front. They look rounder. If you look at them from the side, they have a more "almond" shape.

Tiny, thank you so much for the constructive critisism. I agree with what you are telling me, now that I really look at it. I will work on it, and see if I can make it better. Thanks again.

Edited to add, yes it is the horse in my avatar.
