My non-horse art

I mainly draw horses-but do draw a couple other things. Drawing people has been my goal for the year. So I thought I'd let everyone see em =)
1. Drew this my senior year in high school three years ago.
2. My best friend's husband. First successful attempt at portraits.
3. Doodling...
4. My sister Amber
5. I love this one =)
6. My pride and joy. My biggest accomplishment. Don't have it anymore though I gave it to him.
7. Freshman year in high school.

Actually, I think your human subjects are AMAZING, possibly even better than a couple of your horse drawings. Are these drawn with graphite pencils or charcoal? They are so soft.

Thanks Liz!

Thank you so much for the compliment about my portraits. But I only post the good ones...you should see the 'others' =) I have a success rate of around 1 out of 10 attempts at portraits. It helps when they're friends of mine that I spend a lot of time with. Don't know why-possibly because I'm not going off of just a photo-I know their personalities. Anyways, still a definite learning process, but I really appreciate the kind words.
Numbers 1 and 2 are in pencil and numbers 4 and 6 are in charcoal.

I love the last one. Looked like an actual living breathing person :O

Most people are like Slinkies; they serve no real purpose, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
