New sketches

It's feels like forever since I put pencil to paper.
A college friend found out I used to study art and asked me to sketch his horses.

Unfortunately for the yearling he never had any great shots of him so I just tried to work with what I was given.






Forgot to say, opinions and critique please :)

They are lovely! The only critique I would say is that the black horse's face maybe should be longer? And the mare's back end seems too large for the front, but apart from that, its all lovely! The foal is extra cute! I havent actually attempted a foal yet!

Very nice work - echo what Confucious said re: the darker horse in the first pic.

I was just talking to a coworker today that I want to try to do a horse portrait. Been working on people lately, trying to capture likeness (that's hard), but need to change it up a bit anyway. Now you've inspired me even further!
