    My sister painted this of a friends horse.

    Wow that's fantastic. Personally I would have used a black background, I find the bay clashes a bit that's just me being picky lol

    Hmm, if I was her, I would have picked more of a green shade than red for the background. Since its a red bay, it just seems to dissolve into the background. But its still a gorgeous piece!

    Wow! I love it! I personally think that the red background was a good choice because red is more of an emotive color... But I think that horse is so awesome that it would look good on any background color! Haha

    The reason she chose red was because it pulls out the red in the horse. If it had a black background I don't think you would see the legs or mane as they are black.Thanks for the nice comments.
