    A Painting To Suit This Frame?!

    My grandfather built this frame for me out of barnwood back at christmas time and I still haven't painted anything to fit into it!
    Reason being it has to be a vertical painting, of which I have none currently on hand, and I cannot for the life of me think of what would be best to paint to suit it.

    So, do any of you guys have some ideas?
    All would be appreciated!

    Yes! But should it be a simple face portrait? Something western? With mountains? Cattle? Dogs?

    I agree with Saddlebag - simple portrait in a minimalistic style with your choice of species acting as model. Remember to post the completed project, please.

    How big is the frame? If it's smaller, just the head. If it's large, you could do a something more detailed, but I would do just a head portrait.

    Thanks guys! It is a 16x20'' frame so not a bad size for any style.
    And tinyliny, I could rotate it but I like it better vertical haha. Just the way the boards rest on top but again, what do you guys think?

    I think boards resting on top would be more appropriate - it gives the vibe of sturdier construction that way.
