Pastel and watercolor mixed media artwork

Ok so theses are my mixed media artworks I sketch what I want to draw and then I put down a layer of watercolor, can be one color or multiple colors of varying shades. Just have to make sure its light enough that you can still see the drawing. Then I go over it with pastels. These were done with Rembrant and Prismacolor pastels. Now I've only had two college level art classes that I got to take as electives while I got my bioogy degree and the rest is all self taught so I'm sure they have thier mistakes but I enjoyed making them. Love critiques to improve myself though! I always take constructive critisism when I can get it. The pics may look a little dark the lighting in my house isn't great.

This one is just pastel done with prisma color pastels.

    The rest are mixed media.
This is my palomino mare Docs Golden Joy

This is my Pug dog Paris though more needs to be done to her to make her pop off the blanket. I need to add some reds and blues to her fur so it flows together better color wise but not exactly sure how to do that lol. Would love suggestions!!

And I'm not good at drawing people I need a LOT more practice I can draw just about any animal but people give me problems lol. This is my boyfriend Tim.

This is a Climt copy the painting is called the kiss and I just took my favorite part. This was for my beginner art class I had to use Conte crayon, white and charcoal but it bored me my art instructor let me add gold pastel luckily which made me happy.

VEry strong and confident use of color. I like that you do not feel constrained to duplicate things exactly as they are, such as how you painted the palomino in shade of blue and purple. Good work!
