yes yes before you say it I am a cheat I use a grid to help with proportions!

I don't think it's cheating at all to use a grid...good for you for taking the initiative to spend the extra time to make the grid in order to ensure a better quality drawing. Well done.

Grids were always harder for me than free hand because if one little thing is off -then all of it's off! Very pretty!

PaintsPwn - I find the same thing if I work freehand haha, once I've blown one part my mind adjusts everything to fit the misproportioned part and then everythings way out of wack. Grid just gives my scatter brained self a little bit of structure haha
