Portrait for my friend

Here is a portrait I did for my friend Jenna. I am going to frame it and give it to her when I see her next. Please don't critique guys, I tried my hardest and I don't think it is good enough but if I try to change it I will wreck it. Tell me if you like it but no critique, I had enormous amounts of trouble with it. It took me 3 and a half hours to complete. And it looks better in real life believe me.

So guys, what do you think of it? Not the best I know but I just wanted to share my newest piece of work. I usually don't do people but this had to be an exception.

I was just looking at it and I now realise how bad it actually is. Oh well, I did try.

Well, you said no critique, but I will say, in a positive critique, that it's utterly marvelous. It has so much feeling and style. It could easily be an illustration to a book. It's VERY hard to draw people and to have them look like the real person. Exceedingly hard. I don't know why, but it is. I really like the mom (that is the mom, isn't it?) and the way the horse brings them together.
It is so charming that it brings tears to my eyes, now.
It will be cherished forever.
