Toadflax you are the most amazing artist! I still can't believe how much detail you can get with your graphite. Sure I can get it alright, but my god, I have NOTHING on you :O Start doing commissions or I'll be angry!

I'm sure we've said this before..:) I don't understand how you get so much life and detail from pastels!
Thanks, and I have been doing a trickle of commissions over the last few months. Have a website stalled but close to ready if either I or my son gets busy and finishes it up.

I agree!
There are some ladies on this forum that have had a lot of impact on me and working to improve my art and you, Toadflax, rank very high on that list. I've said it so many times but the extra time you take to incorporate a detailed background in your drawings add so much more. And I look forward to seeing this anticipated website =)
My2Geldings-I started out with graphite, like a lot of the other artists here. And personally, I love charcoal. Yes it's messy but I love the finished product. And my kneaded eraser is crucial in my drawings! I can't wait to see some of your drawings-can't think off hand if you've ever posted any. Hope to see some soon!

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance. ~Aristotle
