    Your favourite artist/s?

Ok, so for those of you who are into art - who is your favourite artist/artists who inspires you the most? Going back into art history right into recent times - if you like.

I once went to go see an exhibition of John William Waterhouse, and I just love what he paints and how. I remember checking some of his paintings on the Internet before the exhibition, but when I saw them in person, they were so much more beautiful and I just found them breathtaking! :)

First of all I am pretty impressed with the artists on here...very nice.

My favorite artist is Will James. I love art that comes from experience, it means something and you can see it in the work.

We had the pleasure of meeting a guy and his wife at the NCHA futurity. Peter & Kim Robbins, neat stuff.
They are really great people, both talented. Peter goes out on the wagon and photographs...no staging. The photos are great and then he does an oil over the top. They are full of color and very captivating. Peter also cowboys, so again his art comes from experience.

    Anyone else?

I like Rubens works' with horses in them. Years ago I did some studies of these. Recently I have discovered a lady called Roberta Baer. She also works mainly in pastels - her work is fantastic. Kayty and tiny - after seeing your stuff, I've told myself I MUST get into colour - oh this will be a journey!

I think George Stubbs did a LOT of equine paintings back in the day.. love his work.

I am also quite fond of my own stick figures that are stuck around my office for explaining to my non-horsey work buddies what exactly I am on about ;)
