~ My Art Journal ~

Hi everyone!
So I haven't had much time to do requests, so I'm going to start a journal where I will post recent pics and all my new drawings as I finish them. There may not be new drawings often, but I am going to keep this thread going and it will also hopefully inspire and encourage me to do more drawings.

Just so you all know, and to avoid all the questions later, I have been drawing since I was twelve years old, and I am now sixteen. I draw usually using a 2B or HB pencil in a hardcover A4 size art book. Most drawings take between 20 minutes (head shots) and 3 or 4 hours for the larger, full bodied drawings.

I am open to critiques and suggestions, so feel free to be as harsh on me as you wish, I won't be hurt by critism! There may be times in the future that I might offer to do a few requests, but until then I will be too busy! Please note that all (or most) of my drawings are copied from photos on the internet. No copyright infringement intended. Please enjoy!

So to start us off, here's a drawing of an Arab Stallion I did in January of this year.

Two more drawings from January.

The first is of a cute arab that was on the internet, this took about 15 minutes:

This is a full body shot of a dappled arab running on the beach, this drawing took about 2 hours to complete:

I don't have any critique but I love your drawings I would take twice as long at least to draw something that good

Here is a palomino thoroughbred that I drew yesterday. It took me about 3 hours, and I'm sorry it's so light, but I drew it in a HB pencil so it's very pale.

Those look really good! I love drawings Arabians too, they have so much spirit and personality. Your shading looks great and I like that you have a unique style to the way you draw. I think the only thing to really work on is proportion, but that's just something that you'll improve on as you go. Overall, awesome job and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your artwork. :)

Thanks Akuinnen :) Arabs have become my favourite horses to draw now, and I have just got permission from a professional phototgrapher to draw any of his photos and they are amazing!! So expect lots more drawings over the next couple of months :)

In the meantime, here is yet another one from January!
