I am not really sure what to do anymore. I have a friend taking care of my horses while we live outside of the country. We bought both of our horses after we got to Korea. BO was in the process of coming to us already before we even left. Nakita, was kind of an impulse buy for us. She needed out of where she was, because she needed more food. So, anyway, my friend picked them up at the end of March. Nakita has gained weight, but not enough to make me happy. I finally asked my friend if she was getting grain everyday like we agreed on initially. Her answer was no. She gets grain about 2 to 3 days a week, she is worried about founder. I told my friend that after this amount of time, if Nakita was going to founder she would have by now. My friend is not convinced. As it is, I pay $400 a month, for pasture board and bermuda hay. When my husband and I figured it out, we are essentially paying all of my horses and my friends horses hay bill. I do not like that. We have no written contract, and at this point in time, I have no where to put the horses. I thought this was going to work out, but Im thinking it is not going to. It is to the point that I am ready to leave my husband over here for the next year and a half, and going back home, and getting the horses off of her property. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Im at a loss of what to do at this point in time.
