The boy is doing very well. We are starting to get into a regular training regimen and he has started his supervised daily turnout..he's out about 4 hours a day now under supervision. The five horses he is turned out with are pretty quiet so no issues thus far..hope it stays that way. Losing my last horse to a paddock kick I am a wee bit paranoid :). Another week or so and he will be on full turnout.
We've had some hard spooks but only the tense shoulder, head up, "what was that" look with no sideways movement but things like snapping trash bags, firehoses being dragged around (watering indoor arenas), tractors, dump/garbage trucks, farrier trucks with forge and banging noises, haven't even rated an ear twitch.
He's become a barn favorite especially to the kids. He head butts me and practically knocks me over and will do the same with other adults but with the kids he just taps them gently with his nose.
