HATE tough decisions!

My horse was recently diagnosed with very very weak stifles, and needs lots of conditioning to help her, and possibly hock injections. But the toughest thing for me, is the farm I have her at only has 4 hours a day turnout, and I am trying to convince the BO to to make a deal with me, but its tough because there is honestly not enough room for more turnout...I have 3 horses in training with me at the barn I am at, and I would lose the clients if I left, and I don't have the time to go from one barn to another everyday...it's so tough for me to decide what to do, I know it is best for my horse to have a better turnout situation, but it is breaking my heart!

I can understand what you're going through. Just keep in mind when making tough decisions that its about doing what is best for the horse, not what is best, or easiest for you.

If she loses clients, then who pays the board bill?

very tough...

is there anyway you can find a very enthusatic teen to help you...
they could possible hand walk her to build up the muscle... they could make obstacles that will test both horse and teen to gain more training and such, while also working him to build up the muscle.

i know teens are usually very willing to help when it comes to more horsey time... :) good luck hope your girl gets stronger soon

Why is it tough? You are responsible for the horse. You need to do right by the horse.
