Also check out if there any organizations there that publish a magazine with classifieds. I know for my neck of the woods there's a monthly magazine that gets sent out to members of the regional dressage/hunter/eventing/etc organizations. It has a huge directory of stables and is what I would point anyone to who was looking for boarding in this area. Maybe there's something similar for Sask?

Well I'm not having very good luck - called both Vet clinics and both said they don't know if anyone does boarding. So I posted an ad on kijiji (well, did that over a month ago), and joined three different SK horse groups on facebook (all the ones I could find) and posted that I'm looking for boarding. One person on there even called around for me and couldn't find anything.

    Ugh

I always just type: "horse stables, (city/state)" into google. I find a lot of stable websites and advertisements that way. Also New Horse.com and EquineNow. Good Luck!

OMG WHATEVER YOU DO don't TRUST CRAIGSLIST!!! I did that last summer and ended up in a place that had nice pix on craigslist, but tons of barbed wire, broken fencing and everything...plus the witch cut down hard on my horse's hay, didn't answer phone calls, would call me and DEMAND I come out, claimed she didn't have a checking account, so was cash only (which of course, can't be tracked!!!!)....oh and then raised prices mid month.

Yeah...make sure you have a good friend help you, or at least INTERVIEW some other boarders. I got really unlucky, don't make the same mistake I did by trusting too much.

I'd actually thought it was Meadow Lake but apparently I'm going to actually be based out of Pierceland - population of about 400 lol. It's only like 40 minutes from Cold Lake, AB though and I'm pretty sure there's a riding club or something there.

I FINALLY tracked down a riding club in Meadow Lake - I'm going to post and see if anyone does boarding, but I've done that on several other groups and it doesn't seem like anyone wants to take on a boarder lol.

    oh geez that's really crappy!
this did remind me to check Craigslist though lol.

I'm lucky in that I have family only two hours from where I'm moving so I have somewhere to drop my horse off until I find a place and could always take her back there if a boarding situation doesn't work out or something.

If you can't find a boarding situation maybe there is a place you could rent with some acreage. Not sure what you have lined up for living.
